South Shore is a semi-private 1922 Wayne Stiles design, with public play available anytime. The course boasts a slew of positives: wild undulations paired with reasonable hole lengths; tricky, swooping greens; and a kickass closing stretch. The par-4 punchbowl 16th gives way to an elevated, wickedly two-tiered short par 3, then the course closes with a highly reachable par 5, provided you keep your tee shot out of the OB all down the right. Bonus: SSCC stays open whenever it’s not snow-covered.
